#36-19 Spiritual Politics of Marta Benavides … Grassroots organizing vs oligarchy in El Salvador
Marta Benavides’s parents were an indigenous healer and a bureaucrat. She grew up Catholic, was recruited to the Baptists, and came to her own theology, which recognizes love as a force and rejects hierarchy. She talks about her life, about her country El Salvador, and about the global forces that can only be opposed by community and an understanding of nature.
