#25-20 Street Children in Kenya … A woman’s commitment to help

Unicef estimates there are 30 million street children in Africa. In Kenya, they are concentrated in highly populated urban slums. Glue is the drug of choice for most, taking the edge off hunger, discomfort, and a shortage of hope. Faswila Athman Omar is a woman who dedicates much of her time and resources to counselling and feeding these children, finding menstrual products to give the girls, and trying to engage the whole country in this cause. She spoke with Diana Wanyonyi in Mombasa.

Host(s): Diana Wanyonyi and Frieda Werden.
Featured Speakers/Guests: Faswila Athman Omar, businesswoman and volunteer aid worker.
