#20-25 Unbroken Wings – Disability is not inability

Nafisa Khanbhai is the Chief Executive Officer of Dear Diary Initiatives, a Community Based Organization in Mombasa, Kenya, dedicated to serving marginalized communities, orphans, individuals with disabilities, and women. Among other activities, they supply and maintain a lot of wheelchairs. Nafisa tells reporter Diana Wanyonyi her life story of learning to disregard prejudice against the disabled, make the most of her talents, and encourage and help others to do the same.  Her biography Dear Diary: The Life and Lessons was made into a book and then a theatre play, which help spread her philosophy and raise support for the organization.
