Pat\u00a0Bond (1925-1990) was a popular writer and performer of one-woman lesbian-related comedy shows. In &#8220;Murder in the WAC&#8221; she tells how she and other lesbians were recruited for the Women&#8217;s Army Corps in wartime, but after the war were witch-hunted and expelled.\u00a0Bond&#8217;s live performance was produced and recorded by Katherine Davenport in 1982. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recording was edited for radio by Frieda Werden.There are a few mentions of the word sh-t in this program that have had their vowels silenced for radio.
